WORD OF THE WEEK
נְשָׁמָה | Soul
Word of the Week
Word: Soul
Hebrew: נְשָׁמָה (ne-sha-mah)
Definition: If we look very closely to the writings in TORAH, we can capture underlying pictures. Sometimes we might say that things are being redundant because we see some of the same things over and over again. But TORAH makes no mistakes. I say this to say that many times in my explanation of words, I allude to the number of letters in a word. Once again, with this word, we see 4 letters. And, once again I will state that here is a picture of our Lord Yeshua. The 4th letter of the Aleph-Bet is the ד (Dalet) which represents the DOOR, and many times I have mentioned that Yeshua is the DOOR. So, let’s proceed with this word נְשָׁמָה ne-sha-mah. The first letter is a נ (Nun) which represents life and carries the number 50. We always eliminate the 0’s so we have the number 5. Bear with me, the number 5 represents the letter ה (Hey) which represents the Breath of G-d. Remember this as we go forward. The next letter is the שׁ (Sheen) which represents the Heart of G-d. This letter carries the number 300, or 3. The next one is the מ (Mem) and carries the number 40, or 4, and represents the Water of the Word. The last letter is the oh oh, the ה (Hey), which, as already stated, is the Breath of G-d, or the Holy Spirit of G-d. So G-d’s Heart is to give us life through His Son’s Word, powered by the Holy Spirit. As we add the gematria of these 4 letters that make up the word נְשָׁמָה ne-sha-mah, we arrive at the נ = 5, the שׁ = 3, the מ = 4, and the ה = 5. 5 + 3 + 4 + 5 = 17. Those of you who want to investigate the number 17 will find that it relates to VICTORY. In addition, 1 + 7 = 8, which, as we know, represents NEW BEGINNING. So, in order to create the SOUL, we need G-d’s Breath, and since G-d does not make any mistakes, as we have a new beginning, being taken from heaven and placed on earth to do the work of the ministry, we have VICTORY in Him even before we start. There is sooo much more…. enough said. Rabbi John.
